As a part of continuing initiatives to increase the capacity of wildlife health professionals in developing bio-diverse countries, ZSL will be running a field course jointly with The Wildlife Institute of India and The University of Edinburgh from 2016.The course will be an integral component of the MVetSci in Conservation Medicine from the University of Edinburgh, which is a distance learning programme for wildlife veterinarians and will be held in India and/or Nepal. Preference will be given to applicants from South Asia. The field course will be titled ‘Interventions in Wild Animal Health’ and will provide training in resolving human-wildlife conflict, population monitoring of wild animals, chemical restraint techniques, and wildlife disease detection and surveillance.
